Yamaha MGX Series Moves the MG Mixer Family into Digital

Yamaha has expanded its long-running MG mixer family with the MGX Series, a new line of digital mixing consoles aimed at live sound, recording, streaming, podcasting and hybrid video production.

The range includes MGX12 and MGX16 audio models plus MGX12V and MGX16V versions with video-oriented functionality. Depending on model, the consoles provide 18 or 22 input channels, multiple mix buses, onboard DSP, microSD recording and dual USB-C host connections.

Yamaha has continued expanding the platform through firmware and software updates, including tighter integration with Steinberg applications, additional routing options and access to onboard effects as VST, AU and AAX plug-ins.
