Universal Audio LUNA 3.0 Adds Stem Separation and LUNA Play

Universal Audio has released LUNA 3.0, a major update to its macOS and Windows DAW with new composition and audio-analysis tools.

The update introduces LUNA Play, a streamlined performance and recording environment, along with stem separation and audio-to-MIDI conversion. Lyric transcription and chord extraction are powered by Moises technology.

UA has also divided the application into LUNA Free and LUNA Studio configurations. The update expands the DAW beyond its original recording and analog-console-oriented workflow toward faster idea capture, arrangement and source manipulation.
