Yamaha URX Interfaces and CC1 Controller Expand Creator Ecosystem

Yamaha has introduced the URX Series of USB audio interfaces and the CC1 USB controller as part of a broader production and streaming ecosystem developed with Steinberg.

The URX family includes URX22, URX44 and URX44V configurations, while the CC1 provides hands-on control for compatible Yamaha and Steinberg software and hardware. The products are designed for music production, podcasting, streaming and other creator workflows.

Subsequent 2026 updates added tighter control integration, revised routing, improved recall and support for controlling Steinberg MixKey from the CC1. Yamaha also made MGX/URX onboard effects available as VST, AU and AAX plug-ins through Basic FX Suite V4.0.
