Yamaha Launches DM5 and DM5 Compact Digital Consoles

Yamaha has introduced the DM5 and DM5 Compact digital mixing consoles, bringing elements of the DM7 workflow to smaller systems for live sound, corporate, theater, broadcast and house-of-worship applications.

Both consoles include 12 channels of Dugan automixing as standard, with optional licensing expanding the available automix capacity. Yamaha has also introduced DM Editor for Windows and macOS for offline setup, editing and backup management, with compatible console files across DM5 and DM7 systems.

The launch is accompanied by new R Series utility I/O hardware, including the RUio1608SB-D stagebox, RUio0804-D rack unit and flexible RUio16FLX-D. All provide Dante connectivity and are designed to scale with DM5, DM7, DM3 and RIVAGE systems.
