Grace Design m701 Firmware 1.2.1 Doubles Dante and RAVENNA Channel Counts

Originally released in 2026; added as part of TAM’s expanded-source catch-up.

Grace Design’s m701 firmware version 1.2.1 expands the modular interface’s Dante and RAVENNA option modules from 32 channels to 64 channels. Grace says the change raises the m701’s total digital I/O capacity to 340 channels.

The update also adds user naming for m701 microphone-preamp channels. Names can be entered from the unit’s front panel or the built-in GraceNet browser interface and are stored with the current workflow—an especially practical addition when the m701 is used as a multichannel stage box.

Grace Design’s Revision E m701 manual, dated May 21, 2026, identifies firmware 1.2.1 as the current release. Installation instructions and downloads are available through Grace Design support.
