Richard Alan Salz
Richard Alan Salz began his recording career as an intern at Sorcerer Sound in New York City. His studios have evolved from an early Yamaha CX5M music computer mastering to VHS HiFi and cassette four-track recording, through multiple DA-88-based rooms and 2-inch 24-track analog machines, to a current hybrid workflow built around MCI and Studer tape machines alongside Pro Tools, Bitwig and LUNA. He has written for Pro Audio Review, Electronic Musician, Pro Sound News, Church Production and other audio publications. His reviews for The Audio Magazine draw on decades of hands-on experience with recording equipment, studio systems and production workflows.
