BOSS Katana-25 Combines a 25-Watt Amp, USB Recording and Bluetooth

BOSS announced the Katana-25 on October 29, 2026. The compact guitar combo pairs a 25-watt analog power section with an eight-inch speaker, adding a smaller home-playing option to the Katana range.

Six amp characters include a setting for acoustic-electric instruments. More than 60 effects are available through BOSS Tone Studio, with up to five running together. The amplifier stores 30 Tone Settings: 20 factory presets and 10 empty locations for user setups.

A switch reduces output to 0.5 watt for lower-volume use. Bluetooth handles audio playback and app communication, while a class-compliant USB-C connection supports recording to a computer or mobile device. A headphone/recording output, built-in tuner and optional wired or wireless foot control give it uses beyond playing through the onboard speaker.

BOSS lists immediate US availability at $199.99. The announcement identifies that as the US price at publication, rather than a separately labeled MSRP.
