Lynx Expands Aurora(n) Atmos Control with Firmware 1.36 and NControl Update

By Richard Alan Salz ·

Lynx Studio Technology expanded the Aurora(n)’s Dolby Atmos and room-correction workflow in spring 2026 with firmware 1.36 and NControl 1.0.10.11.

Firmware 1.36, released March 17, adds global pre-DSP attenuation, selectable Constant Q, Proportional Q and legacy Lynx V1 Q behavior, higher-resolution Atmos channel gain, and fixes for shelf-filter behavior and routing an Atmos source to multiple physical outputs.

NControl 1.0.10.11 followed on April 1. It adds Atmos-scene data to normal NControl scene save/recall, controls for the new global attenuation and Q modes, an Optimize function for bass-management levels, and a log-frequency-response graph under the filter controls.

Lynx says Aurora(n) supports speaker configurations up to 9.1.6, as many as 320 room-correction filters, channel level and delay compensation, bass management and direct import of calibration parameters from Sonarworks and Room EQ Wizard. The firmware and NControl updates are free downloads for Aurora(n) users.
