AMS Neve Introduces Elements Processors and 8424E Resettable Console

By TAM Staff ·

AMS Neve has introduced Elements, a range of software-controlled analogue processors, together with the 8424E, a 24-channel console designed to integrate the new hardware with digital control and recall.

The first three Elements units are the 88R EQ, 88R Dynamics and 1084 EQ. Each occupies 2U and provides eight analogue processing channels: four-band 88R equalization, 88R VCA compression/limiting/gating/expansion, or three-band inductor-based 1084 equalization. Audio I/O uses D-sub connections, while Ethernet links the hardware to the Elements App or an AAX, AU or VST3 control plug-in. AMS Neve says all parameters can be stored with a session, automated and recalled; an insert matrix in each unit controls the position of external insert paths.

The 8424E builds on the existing 8424 architecture with an E-Controller and optional upstand touchscreen for operating connected Elements units. The console retains 24 channels, four mono groups, two 1073 preamps and a Marinair transformer-coupled stereo mix bus. Existing 8424 owners can upgrade their desks for Elements integration.

AMS Neve plans to ship the range in the first quarter of 2027. Official prices, excluding VAT, are £3,495 GBP / $4,895 USD for the eight-channel 88R EQ, £3,995 GBP / $5,595 USD for the eight-channel 88R Dynamics, £4,495 GBP / $6,295 USD for the eight-channel 1084 EQ and £26,995 GBP / $37,950 USD for the 8424E.

The announcement has also prompted unusually active early discussion on Gearspace—approximately 78 replies and 7,000 views by November 2. That engagement is an attention signal rather than a TAM product judgment; discussion has focused on the recall architecture, system configuration and pricing.
