Audix Adds NCR2 and NCR4 Multichannel Receivers to Novacore Wireless System

By Richard Alan Salz ·

Audix has released the NCR2 and NCR4, dual- and quad-channel digital wireless receivers that complete the multichannel side of its Novacore UHF system. The company introduced the receivers publicly in January and added them to its current product line in October.

The NCR2 provides two receiver channels in a half-rack-width chassis.

Both models operate across a 48 MHz UHF tuning range and support up to 20 simultaneous channels per band, subject to local spectrum conditions. Audix specifies 110 dB receiver dynamic range and AES-256 encryption. One-touch infrared synchronization handles transmitter pairing.

The NCR2 and NCR4 provide balanced analogue outputs plus Dante network audio with AES67 compatibility. The receivers work with the wider Novacore family of handheld and bodypack transmitters, interchangeable vocal capsules and wireless MicroBoom systems.

Audix lists the NCR2 at $951 USD and the NCR4 at $2,250 USD through its direct store, with a current shipping estimate of three to four weeks.
