Trinnov NOVA 2.1.3 Adds 7.1.4 Immersive Monitoring

By Richard Alan Salz ·

Trinnov released NOVA software version 2.1.3 on September 2, 2026. Its new Immersive mode extends loudspeaker and room optimization to systems with up to 12 channels, including 7.1.4 layouts.

Immersive mode accepts Dante inputs at sample rates up to 48 kHz and supports one speaker set. NOVA does not decode Dolby Atmos: a DAW or external renderer supplies the discrete channels, which NOVA then processes for monitoring.

According to Trinnov, a system with eight licensed Optimizer channels unlocks all 12 channels in Immersive mode without additional per-channel licenses. A NOVA 6 owner therefore needs one OPT2-NOVA two-channel license to reach that configuration, rather than replacement hardware.

Standard monitoring mode also expands from six to eight optimized channels. Other changes include calibration graphs in the setup wizard, revised clock management, target-curve presets and automatic restart after power restoration.

The update is installed through the Trinnov application. The announcement specifies app version 4.3.2 as the starting requirement and does not state a price for the additional OPT2-NOVA license.
