Genelec Adds AMX MUSE Control for Smart IP Loudspeakers

Genelec and AMX have released a new driver that brings Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers and subwoofers into Harman’s AMX MUSE automation platform.

The integration provides network discovery along with control of power, volume and mute for individual Smart IP loudspeakers. It also reports operating information including volume, input level, Dante, IP and MAC addresses, host names and firmware versions.

Genelec says custom acoustic profiles can be loaded remotely through the integration. The driver is aimed primarily at installed-sound systems where Smart IP loudspeakers are being managed as part of a broader control and automation system.
