Plastic Funeral is a distortion effect from Unplugred’s open-source collection, with a laser-like digital character. It is useful for sharply altered synth, percussion and transition sounds rather than restrained analog coloration. Start with a simple source to hear how its controls reshape the signal, and keep output level controlled while exploring more extreme settings.

Input level is part of the sound of nonlinear processing. Compare with output gain compensated, and listen to both transient detail and quieter passages before committing a strongly colored render.
