Decent Sampler
By Decent Samples
Decent Sampler is a sample-instrument player used by a wide range of independent sound-library makers. It is useful for playing acoustic, experimental and found-sound instruments supplied in its library format. The player is free, while libraries can be free or paid. Check the license of each library separately, particularly when redistributing sounds or using them outside a conventional musical production.
The player and its sound content are separate licensing decisions. Keep a note of the library source and save its location with the project so the instrument remains available when reopening a session.
Player is free; individual sound libraries have separate prices and licenses.
