sfizz

sfizz is an open-source SFZ instrument engine and plug-in. It is useful for playing compatible sample libraries while keeping the player itself under an open license. SFZ files describe how samples are mapped and triggered, so library quality and completeness affect the result. Sound content is separate from the engine and may carry different usage or redistribution restrictions.

The player and its sound content are separate licensing decisions. Keep a note of the library source and save its location with the project so the instrument remains available when reopening a session.
