Beat Slammer

Beat Slammer applies aggressive dynamics and coloration in a compact free effect. It is useful for creating a denser drum sound, parallel processing or deliberately exaggerated rhythmic textures. Strong processing can alter attack and bring background detail forward. Blend or reduce the effect when the original groove needs to retain its dynamic contrast, and compare at similar output level.
Input level is part of the sound of nonlinear processing. Compare with output gain compensated, and listen to both transient detail and quieter passages before committing a strongly colored render.
