Guitarix
By Guitarix Project
Guitarix is a virtual guitar amplifier and effects environment for Linux. It is useful for direct guitar processing, live experimentation and recording through a configurable software chain. Interface gain and audio-buffer settings affect the playing experience. Build the routing carefully and check cabinet or speaker simulation choices before comparing a direct processed signal with a miked amplifier sound.
For direct recording, check interface input gain and monitoring latency before evaluating the sound. A pedal or amplifier processor may still need separate cabinet processing, depending on the signal chain.
