SmartAmp

SmartAmp is an open-source amplifier-modeling plug-in associated with machine-learning-based capture techniques. It is useful for playing guitar through learned amplifier behavior in a workstation. The model and the surrounding cabinet or effects chain are distinct decisions. Check the project’s supplied models and instructions before assuming an arbitrary capture will load or respond identically in the plug-in.

For direct recording, check interface input gain and monitoring latency before evaluating the sound. A pedal or amplifier processor may still need separate cabinet processing, depending on the signal chain.
