Correlometer examines stereo correlation across frequency bands. It is useful for investigating which parts of a mix may behave differently when summed to mono. The frequency-resolved view gives more detail than one overall correlation number. Use it alongside actual mono listening, since a visual indication of phase relationship does not fully describe the musical effect of a stereo signal.
A useful display begins with a clear question and appropriate measurement settings. Confirm important observations through listening or a second check, and document calibration where absolute measurements matter.
