ARTA is an audio-measurement suite covering impulse response, spectral analysis and related loudspeaker tests. Its companion programs STEPS and LIMP address stepped-sine measurements and impedance analysis. It is useful for technically informed room and loudspeaker investigation. Version 1.9.8 became freeware after commercial license sales ended, so the former evaluation restrictions should not be confused with the current official freeware distribution.

A useful display begins with a clear question and appropriate measurement settings. Confirm important observations through listening or a second check, and document calibration where absolute measurements matter.

Version 1.9.8 became freeware in December 2024. Official legacy download remains available; development has stopped. Accurate measurement still requires calibrated hardware.
