Vinyl adds record-inspired wear and mechanical coloration to audio. It is useful for deliberately aged textures, transitions and giving a clean source a less pristine presentation. Noise, pitch instability and filtering are creative changes rather than improvements in fidelity. Use the current free product and account workflow, keeping an untouched original when committing strong degradation to a production.
Input level is part of the sound of nonlinear processing. Compare with output gain compensated, and listen to both transient detail and quieter passages before committing a strongly colored render.
