mvMeter2 offers an analog-style metering display with selectable measurement behavior. It is useful for watching average level and setting consistent working levels across tracks. A VU-style indication describes a different aspect of a signal from a true-peak meter. Choose the mode and reference deliberately, and retain peak monitoring elsewhere when managing digital headroom.
A useful display begins with a clear question and appropriate measurement settings. Confirm important observations through listening or a second check, and document calibration where absolute measurements matter.
