Airwindows ToTape6

ToTape6 is a tape-inspired processor from Airwindows, combining several behaviors associated with recorded tape. It is useful for exploring saturation and softened transients through a deliberately minimal interface. The design emphasizes listening rather than a photorealistic panel. Compare at similar output level, and distinguish gentle coloration from stronger processing that changes the envelope or low-frequency balance of the source.

Input level is part of the sound of nonlinear processing. Compare with output gain compensated, and listen to both transient detail and quieter passages before committing a strongly colored render.
