Krush combines bit crushing, sample-rate reduction and modulation for digital coloration. It is useful for roughening drums, building lo-fi textures and creating moving distortion effects. The filter and modulation controls help shape the degraded sound rather than simply making it harsher. This is the free Krush release, separate from the expanded commercial KrushPro processor.
Input level is part of the sound of nonlinear processing. Compare with output gain compensated, and listen to both transient detail and quieter passages before committing a strongly colored render.
