mididings
By mididings Contributors
mididings is a programmable MIDI router and processor with a Python-oriented configuration approach. It is useful for technically comfortable musicians who need custom splits, layers, filtering or performance rules. The configuration defines the instrument-control behavior, while separate synthesizers produce sound. Keep the script with a session and test recovery from a disconnected device before relying on complex routing during a performance.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
Technical configuration and supported MIDI backend required; this is not a standalone audio instrument.
