TuxGuitar

TuxGuitar is a tablature and score editor for guitar-oriented arrangements. It supports writing fretted-instrument parts alongside other voices and auditioning the resulting music. It is useful for documenting riffs, preparing rehearsal material and exchanging compatible tablature files. MIDI-style playback is an aid to arrangement; it should not be confused with recording an actual guitar performance.

Proofread the final score and extracted parts before rehearsal or publication. Playback can help find mistakes, but it does not reveal every issue with page turns, spacing or practical instrumental notation.
