PianoBooster is a MIDI-based piano practice application that displays musical notation and follows played notes. It is useful for working through parts with a MIDI keyboard while hearing an accompaniment. The focus is guided instrumental practice rather than recording or engraving a finished score. A compatible MIDI input and sound source are important parts of the setup.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
