Tape Echo 2
By Dusk Audio
Tape Echo 2 models a three-head tape-delay system with a spring-reverb path. Shared transport speed links the repeat rhythms, while tape condition changes instability and noise together. It is useful for dub-style throws, guitar echoes and characterful transitions. Its August 2026 rebuild is followed by an October update adding noise and hum controls. Regeneration can move into self-oscillation, so output and feedback deserve attention when creating long evolving effects.
Set repeat timing in relation to the phrase, then listen through the next section. An echo that works in a gap can compete with a new part when the arrangement becomes denser.
