seq24 is a minimal loop-oriented MIDI sequencer designed around patterns that can be triggered and arranged. It is useful for driving external synthesizers or software instruments in an electronic-performance setup. It does not supply the sound-producing instruments itself. Check the maintained distribution and MIDI routing, particularly when using it with a modern Linux audio environment.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
