Helio is a composition-oriented MIDI sequencer with an emphasis on musical structure and an uncluttered interface. It is useful for sketching and revising instrumental arrangements. It is not primarily a multitrack audio recorder. Playback and plug-in support depend on the platform and build, so check the official instructions before planning a template around a particular instrument-hosting configuration.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
