RTcmix is a programmable environment for synthesis, processing and algorithmic music. It is useful for composers and researchers who want to describe sound behavior through code rather than a fixed instrument interface. A score or script specifies processing and timing, with separate frontends and integrations available. Record dependencies and control settings with a piece so it can be reproduced after an environment update.
Save intermediate versions while experimenting, especially before a large routing or parameter change. Keeping the original source alongside a rendered result makes later arrangement and revision much easier.
