Nyquist
By Roger Dannenberg / Nyquist Contributors
Nyquist combines a programming language with facilities for sound synthesis and processing. It is useful for algorithmic composition, custom transformations and learning how musical operations can be described in code. A standalone environment and integrations support different workflows. Keep scripts, input audio and runtime information together so a rendered result can be recreated and revised rather than treated as an unrepeatable experiment.
Save intermediate versions while experimenting, especially before a large routing or parameter change. Keeping the original source alongside a rendered result makes later arrangement and revision much easier.
