Rassel
By Klevgrand
Rassel turns a compatible mobile device into a motion-controlled percussion instrument. It is useful for adding shaker-like gestures and exploring a more physical performance method than tapping a grid. Movement is part of the interface, so handling and microphone bleed may matter if the output is recorded alongside acoustic sources. Check the current supported devices before downloading.
When replacing another drum instrument, check note mapping and velocity response before judging the arrangement. The same MIDI pattern can produce a different balance when voices and articulations move between notes.
