Pure Data
By Pure Data Community
Pure Data is a visual programming environment in which objects and connections form audio and control patches. It can be used to build synthesizers, effects, interactive installations and performance systems. Its value lies in designing a signal path directly rather than choosing from a fixed collection of processors. External libraries can extend it, with their own installation and licensing requirements.
For a reusable production setup, save the patch with the session and note any external content it depends on. This makes it easier to reopen the arrangement on another machine.
