Pro Tools Intro

Pro Tools Intro is the permanently free entry edition of Avid’s recording workstation. It is useful for learning its editing and mixing conventions or completing small audio and MIDI sessions. Track counts, bundled content and supported extensions differ from paid Pro Tools editions. A project planned for collaboration should account for those limits before exchanging a session with a larger studio setup.
Before a full session, check audio-device selection, input monitoring and the project sample rate. A short saved project and exported audio file are useful first checks of the complete workflow.
