PanCake 2
By Cableguys
PanCake 2 uses editable modulation curves to automate stereo panning. It is useful for controlled movement, repeating spatial patterns and transitions that change placement over time. A drawn curve offers more flexibility than a fixed sine-wave autopanner. Check headphones and speakers where possible, and keep important low-frequency or lead material stable when a moving image would weaken the arrangement.
Check sustained notes and rhythmic passages separately. Modulation that adds interest to a held sound can blur articulation elsewhere, so the wet balance should follow the role of the part.
