loopMIDI
By Tobias Erichsen
loopMIDI creates virtual MIDI ports on Windows so applications can exchange performance and control data. It is useful when a sequencer and instrument or utility need to communicate without physical MIDI cables. It does not synthesize audio. Document port names and routing, and avoid creating feedback loops when both applications can send messages back to one another.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
