Dimension Expander adds stereo spaciousness using a compact modulation-based approach. It is useful for widening a supporting instrument or making a dry synthesizer feel less confined. Its small control set encourages quick comparison. Check the sound in mono and in the complete arrangement, since extra width can reduce center focus or change the apparent relationship between parts.
Check sustained notes and rhythmic passages separately. Modulation that adds interest to a held sound can blur articulation elsewhere, so the wet balance should follow the role of the part.
