Sonic Annotator
By Centre for Digital Music / Sonic Visualiser
Sonic Annotator runs Vamp audio-analysis plug-ins over files in a repeatable batch workflow. It is useful for researchers, archive work and production tasks that need extracted features rather than a live meter display. Analysis output depends on the chosen plug-in and its settings. Save the command, parameter configuration and source-file identity with results so an investigation can be repeated later.
A useful display begins with a clear question and appropriate measurement settings. Confirm important observations through listening or a second check, and document calibration where absolute measurements matter.
