Virtual ANS
By Alexander Zolotov
Virtual ANS turns a drawn spectral image into sound, extending the idea of the historic ANS synthesizer. Its sonogram editor supports creating or transforming sustained textures, while audio can be converted into images for further manipulation. It is useful for spectral composition, unusual atmospheres and learning relationships between frequency and time. MIDI control provides another way to perform the resulting material.
For a reusable production setup, save the patch with the session and note any external content it depends on. This makes it easier to reopen the arrangement on another machine.
