Tenacity

Tenacity is an open-source audio editor derived from the Audacity codebase with its own development direction. It is useful for recording and waveform editing in a familiar multitrack environment. Build availability varies by platform, so use the maintained project’s official release instructions. It is a separate application, and project compatibility should be checked before moving an ongoing edit between forks.

Keep an untouched source file when making destructive edits or conversions. Check the exported audio as well as the project, particularly when the destination requires a specific sample rate or bit depth.
