Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard
By VMPK Project
Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard sends and displays MIDI notes using an on-screen keyboard and computer input. It is useful for checking MIDI connections, auditioning a synthesizer and entering notes when a physical keyboard is unavailable. It does not itself supply the sound of a piano; route its MIDI output to an appropriate software or hardware instrument.
MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
