TDR Nova combines parametric equalization with frequency-dependent dynamics. It is useful when a tonal problem appears only at particular signal levels, such as an intermittent harsh band or changing low-frequency buildup. Static EQ and dynamic action can share one interface. This listing covers the free edition; Nova GE is a separate commercial product with additional capabilities.
Judge tonal changes with the part playing in the arrangement. Matching the bypass and processed listening levels helps avoid choosing a setting simply because it sounds louder or brighter.
