Protokol

Protokol monitors control-protocol traffic such as MIDI and OSC. It is useful for diagnosing controllers, checking message values and understanding communication between performance applications. It does not produce sound or automatically repair a routing problem. Select the appropriate input and filters, then test one control at a time when a large system sends several message streams simultaneously.

MIDI carries performance instructions rather than recorded sound. Confirm the receiving instrument, channel assignments and note mapping when exchanging a file or moving the setup to another computer.
