Jamulus
By Jamulus Contributors
Jamulus connects musicians for real-time performance over an internet connection. A server mixes the participants while each client handles its local audio input and monitoring. It is useful for remote rehearsals when network conditions are suitable. Distance, routing and interface settings affect delay, so a wired connection and a short group soundcheck are important parts of establishing a workable session.
Rehearse the complete routing and save a dependable starting configuration. Test controller assignments and recovery from an interrupted audio device before making the software part of a live performance.
Usability depends on network latency, server location and audio-interface configuration. Public server availability is separate from the free client software.
