Ample Bass P Lite is a free limited bass-guitar instrument based on sampled electric bass. It is useful for songwriting and building a low-end part from MIDI. Its restricted feature set is separate from the paid instrument. Attention to register, note duration and transitions helps a programmed bass line function musically even when the available articulation choices are limited.

For direct recording, check interface input gain and monitoring latency before evaluating the sound. A pedal or amplifier processor may still need separate cabinet processing, depending on the signal chain.
