Airwindows Monitoring

Monitoring collects listening-check functions in a utility processor. It is useful for examining a mix under different monitoring conditions without permanently changing the production audio. Keep it on a dedicated monitoring path where possible, so a listening check is not accidentally included in a final render. Its purpose is to reveal questions for further listening rather than provide an automatic quality score.

Check the selected input, output and monitoring path before beginning important work. A short test file can reveal routing or format problems that are not obvious from a meter alone.
