Aeolus
By Aeolus / Fons Adriaensen
Aeolus is a synthesized pipe-organ instrument for Linux audio systems. It is useful for organ performance, practice and arrangements that benefit from modeled organ behavior rather than a general keyboard preset. Stop registration and MIDI routing are central parts of the setup. Check the maintained package and audio configuration before building a dedicated organ-playing system around it.
Audition the instrument with the actual musical part, including its velocity range and register. A sound that is attractive in isolation may need a different balance once other instruments enter.
