PartialString
By Different Instruments
PartialString synthesizes a plucked string through a finite-difference physical model. Excitation and pickup placement, damping and model accuracy alter how that string behaves, rather than selecting a recorded articulation. It is useful for resonant plucks, inharmonic textures and experiments with the link between modeled physics and musical tone. The October 19, 2026 update improves host automation. Lower notes and more simultaneous strings can demand additional processing power.
For a reusable production setup, save the patch with the session and note any external content it depends on. This makes it easier to reopen the arrangement on another machine.
