FamiStudio

FamiStudio is a composition environment for Nintendo Entertainment System style music and homebrew soundtracks. A piano-roll-oriented editor provides an alternative to traditional tracker entry, with instruments and envelopes shaped around the target sound hardware. It is useful for chiptune production and preparing music for compatible game projects. Export options and sound-engine integration should be chosen according to whether the destination is an audio release or an actual game.

Before a full session, check audio-device selection, input monitoring and the project sample rate. A short saved project and exported audio file are useful first checks of the complete workflow.
